“Hello Mr. M.,

Thank you for your interest in our anti-dazzle shields and the friendly email. The BX version is the result of our research and development over the last few years.

As motorcyclists we look straight ahead but we’re constantly distracted and tired by dazzle from the side and the flickering of shadow and sunlight.

Normal sunglasses or built-in conventional sunshields darken your whole field of view and so don’t relax the eyes so that we see better and ride more relaxed - the pupils open too wide in response to the darkness and we can’t see contrasts as clearly. Also, the brain has to cope with superfluous sights and reflections.

The BX version is exactly shaped to our peripheral vision while we’re riding and cuts out these distractions. Helmets fitted with Sunax still meet ECE requirements.

Our light filters have always represented the ideal of what is technically feasible, and with this improvement, are 50% better than ever!

All ‘Louis’ shops have already taken delivery of the latest Sunax BX. You can take a test ride with a demonstration helmet there before you fit your own new BX!

“Hello! I fitted the sunshield in my Shoei helmet and my girlfriend’s. I was biking with it on a long tour in southern Europe – just super! We didn’t need any annoying sunglasses on the road, nothing else. I used to have problems with sunglasses or tinted visors – going into a tunnel I saw nothing or had to push the glasses down – a real nuisance and pretty dangerous at speed.

And a tinted visor got on my nerves in the long run. On days when the sun didn’t shine everything was shades of grey and I found this really unpleasant. In the evening it was too dark for me and I had to ride with the visor up, and it’s horrible to get the bugs in your face or eyes – and not that safe!!!! OK, to sum up: I don’t have these problems any more thanks to your great anti-dazzle shield. I’m not a beginner – I’ve been riding since 1970 and have tried everything. You just don’t notice the shield when you’re riding, and into the sun it’s just great!”
